Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026. This policy describes how mymini-itx.com handles your data.

Overview

My Mini ITX ("we", "the site") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use mymini-itx.com, why we collect it, and your choices. By using the site you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account data: email address and display name when you register; password stored as a secure hash.
  • User content: forum posts, comments, marketplace listings, and saved chat history tied to your account.
  • Guest community content: optional display name and post body when you submit without an account.
  • Usage data: pages visited and general analytics via Vercel Web Analytics (aggregated, not sold).
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and cookies required for sign-in sessions.
  • Advertising data: when ads are shown, Google and its partners may collect device identifiers, cookie IDs, approximate location, and browsing activity on this site to serve and measure ads.
  • Case Lab data: cases you add may be stored locally in your browser; server lookups do not permanently store your compare lists unless you save builds to your account.

How we use information

  • Provide Case Lab, directory, community, marketplace, and AI advisor features.
  • Authenticate users and prevent abuse.
  • Improve site reliability and fix errors.
  • Display and measure advertising through Google AdSense and related Google advertising products.

Advertising and third-party cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third parties, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser, use web beacons, or collect IP addresses and other identifiers as a result of ad serving on this website. Those technologies help deliver ads, measure performance, and (where permitted) show ads based on your interests.

To learn how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can manage ad personalization in Google Ads Settings.

Third-party services

We use trusted providers to run the site. Each has its own privacy policy:

  • Google AdSense / Google Ads: advertising, ad measurement, and (where allowed) personalized ads.
  • Vercel: hosting and analytics.
  • Supabase / PostgreSQL: database hosting for accounts and community content.
  • DeepSeek or OpenAI: responses in the Build Advisor when you use that feature.
  • Tavily or similar: web search for case dimension lookups.
  • CaseEnd / BuildCores: case specification databases when available.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (NextAuth session). Google AdSense and advertising partners may set cookies for ad serving, personalization, and measurement according to their policies and applicable law. You can control cookies in your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent sign-in. Disabling advertising cookies may reduce ad personalization but ads may still appear.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of account data by contacting us via the contact page. EU/UK/EEA users may have additional rights under GDPR and related laws; we will respond to valid requests within a reasonable time. Where required by the EU User Consent Policy, personalized advertising for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland depends on consent collected through Google's privacy messaging / consent tools configured in AdSense.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not use interest-based advertising directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us so we can delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
